Presenting 2019 Advanced Prosthodontics Teaching Award
To keep enhancing our most important core mission, teaching excellence, the division honors annually individuals who bring respect and admiration to teaching. The following three awards were established after legendary professors of the division and provide an opportunity to recognize teachers for their amazing achievements. The appointed Teaching Awards Committee members in 2019 were Dr. Robert Duell, Dr. Daniela Orellana, and the committee chair Dr. Ting-Ling Chang.
2019 Berg Teaching Award
Dr. Jay Jayanetti

2019 Kratochvil Teaching Award
Dr. Shahriar Parvizpour

He brings a practical and effective approach to teaching and is exceptional in his clinical, laboratory and patient management skills. It’s obvious that his focus is on resident learning and we appreciate his dedication and time in shaping us into little Parvizpour’s. A particularly enjoyable part of our learning is the 7 AM implant class every Thursday. His lighthearted and truthful approach to teaching has made us all want to be Dr. Parvizpour!!!”

2019 Beumer Teaching Award
Dr. Michael O. Hamada
