Aerosol domes

Numerous attempts have been made to produce clear isolation domes to protect dental personnel from aerosol contamination. Many suffer from common problems of poor visibility, poor ergonomics, patient claustrophobia, difficulty in cleaning and storage, and many more.

Our team designed elegant aerosol domes to protect our dental personnel from aerosol spread, and these compatible with all dental chairs within UCLA School of Dentistry.

Our engineers also validated aerosol protection by quantifying micro- and nano-particles near the operating zone.  Clear domes offer additional protection the dental personnel and patients  from aerosol spread. This extra layer of protection directly converts high aerosol generating procedures into low/mild aerosol generating procedures, thereby reducing the risk of contamination.
